Founder and sole engineer. I built and run the marketplace, payment flows, organiser tooling, customer support systems, and the operational decisions that sit around moving money.
A marketplace can hold an organiser's money while the organiser needs it before the event. If an event is cancelled after payout, the platform must still make buyers whole. Xraves uses Stripe Connect direct charges with Express accounts and a tiered payout reserve: organisers move from 100% held toward 0% held as trust signals such as sales history, ticket floors, disputes, and reliability improve.
Next.js and TypeScript power the product layer. Prisma and PostgreSQL hold multi-tenant marketplace data; BullMQ runs payout and email jobs; Auth.js manages identity; Stripe webhooks keep payment state aligned with the platform.
The reserve system favours platform safety over instant access to funds for unproven organisers. Direct charges keep payment relationships clear, but require deliberate webhook handling and support processes rather than treating payouts as a background detail.
